Twitter facing new malicious attacks....
Twitter might be under a new type of attack now! According to various internet reports, a nasty worm is spreading rapidly on the microblogging site and using Google's goo.gl URL shortening service to send unwary users to malicious pages.
As per Mr. Mashable, large number of messages containing only the link "goo.gl/R7f68" has appeared on Twitter, redirecting the users to various malware-laden sites.
Particularly the worm appears to be targeting users of Twitter's mobile website, mobile.twitter.com, and forcing their account to post a link that spreads the infection when clicked.
In most cases, the message claims that the striken Twitter user has "just found the easiest way to track who follows and unfollows you". In some other cases, the link is posted without a comment.
The Next Web found the origins of the link in the messages, which sends users to a French site (http://artcan-developpement.fr) that has reportedly been hacked to forward users to sites containing various malware scripts.
