  • Have ever seen or heard that a newspaper can speak to you about something. Yes, it happened and experienced by many people today across India. You can be amazing by hearing this but it is true, that a German Car Company, VOLKSWAGEN introduced this new form of advertising to the Indians by advertising its debutant car 'Vento' in full page.
    Here is how it works..
    • A small black instrument pasted on the left-side starts playing the audio version of the advertisement.
    • When the reader turns the page, the audio device stops playing automatically.
This Volkswgen ad has the picture of the Vento and an engineer crying next to it.
The device has been pasted only in The Times of India paper -- another similar ad in The Hindu, however, did not have audio.
It is a mix of automobile and technology.
Although this kind of advertising technology is not globally new. This September, CBS Networks and PepsiCo launched joint audio-video advertisement in the US showbiz magazine Entertainment Weekly, using a wafer-thin LCD device that started to play when the page was opened, heralding the print-TV integration.
Also, in New Delhi they have Launched Vento by showcasing the car by riding it vertically on the building.
