UPSC declared Geologists' Examination 2012 results

The Geologists’ Examination, 2012 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the result and the same is available on the Commission’s website-- www.upsc.gov.in.


All the written qualified candidates should fill a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in ONLINE and had to send it to the commission as mentioned by the commission. Also the relevant documents and photographs need to be attached and send to the Commission.

The DAF will be available on the Commission’s website from 01.06.2013 to 17.06.2013 till 11.59 P.M.

After reading all the important instructions for filling up and submitting the ONLINE DAF send it to the Commission before the last date, i.e. 01.07.2013, for the receipt of printed copy of DAF (ink signed) along with relevant documents.

In the event of non-receipt of ink signed copy of DAF, the candidature will be cancelled without any further notice. The candidates are also required to bring a printed copy of the DAF duly signed (by the candidate) along with original documents and a photocopy each thereof at the time of interview.

Certificates required are proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualification, caste (SC/ST/OBC) and physical disability status. For full details refer the commission's website.

The Personality Test is likely to be conducted in the month of AUGUST. Complete details of the Personality Test will be made available on the Commission’s website in due course.

SCRA 2013 written exam results released by UPSC, Marksheets will be available after 15 days

The Written examination result of the Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination (SCRA), 2013 held by the U.P.S.C. in January, 2013, has been released and the selected candidates are called for Interview/Personality Test.

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2012 Results announced, application for Mains

The candidates with the Roll Numbers mentioned in the above link have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2012 based on the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2012 held on 20.05.2012.

Instructions to Candidates:
  • In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form (DAF), which would be available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission www.upsc.gov.in.
  • All the qualified candidates are advised to fill up the DAF and submit the same ONLINE for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2012 to be held from 05.10.2012.
  • The DAF will be available on the website of the Commission from 1st August, 2012 till 11.59 PM on 21/08/2012. Important instructions regarding filling up of the DAF and submitting the same ONLINE to the Commission would also be available on the website.
  • The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the ONLINE Detailed Application Form.
  • The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Civil Services Examination, 2012 published in the gazette of India (Extraordinary) of Department of Personnel and Training notification dated 04.2.2012, which is also available on the website of the Commission.
  • After submitting the DAF duly filled in ONLINE, the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted DAF separately and will have to send the printed copy of the DAF duly signed by the candidates alongwith all relevant documents including the prescribed fees, wherever applicable as enclosures addressed to the Under Secretary [CS(M)], Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, so as to reach the Commission's Office latest by 27/08/2012.
  • The envelope containing the print out of the DAF submitted ONLINE should be superscribed “Application for Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2012”. It can also be delivered at Union Public Service Commission counter by hand till 27/08/2012 (5.00 P.M). It may be noted that mere submission of application form does not, ipso facto, confer on any right for admission to the Main Examination.
  • The admission certificate alongwith the time table of the Main Examination will be issued to the eligible candidates 2-3 weeks before the commencement of the examination. Changes, if any, in the postal address after submission of the DAF may be communicated to the Commission at once.

Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their result of the above mentioned examination on all working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or on Tel. Civil Services Mains 2011 Final Result with 910 selected candidates announced - IAS, IPS, IFS, GROUP 'A' & 'B'

The result of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011 has been released................ The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had held written part of the examination in October-November, 2011 and the interviews for Personality Test in March-April, 2012. A total number of 910 candidates have been recommended for appointment to –
(i) Indian Administrative Service; (ii) Indian Foreign Service; (iii) Indian Police Service; and (iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

The list of selected candidates includes 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate) and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.


Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in Rules 2 and 19 of the Rules of the Examination and subject to the final decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court / Hon’ble High Courts / Hon’ble C.A.Ts. on the S.L.Ps / R.As / W.Ps. / O.As. pending therein. 

The number of vacancies reported by the Government for the:
  • Indian Administrative Service(IAS) is 170 (85 General, 46 Other Backward Classes, 26 Scheduled Castes and 13 Scheduled Tribes); 
  • Indian Foreign Service(IFS) is 40 (23 General, 9 Other Backward Classes, 5 Scheduled Castes and 3 Scheduled Tribes);

Civil Services Main Exam 2011 Results announced by UPSC

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) have announced the result of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2011 and Roll Numbers of the candidates who have qualified for Personality Test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).

Personality Tests of these candidates will commence from 19th March, 2012. Personality Tests will be held at UPSC. The date and time of Personality Test is being intimated to the qualified candidates individually. The date and time of Personality Tests of candidates being called for Personality Test from 19th March, 2012 will be displayed on the Commission’s Website at http://www.upsc.gov.in.


The candidates who do not receive any communication regarding their Personality Test, should immediately contact the office of the Commission through letter or on Phone, Nos. 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or Fax Nos. 011-23387310, 011-23384472. 

No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test intimated to the candidates will be entertained. The candidates are advised to notify change(s) in their address, if any, to the Commission immediately through letter or Fax at Telephone numbers indicated above. 

Candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap and other documents such as Questionnaire, Attestation Form, TA form, etc. at the time of their Personality Test. The formats of SC/ST/OBC/PH certificates and Questionnaire, Attestation Form and TA form can be downloaded from the website of the Commission. They are, therefore advised to keep the said documents ready with them.

Result is also available on the U.P.S.C. website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in. The mark-sheets of candidates who have not qualified, will be put on the Commission’s Website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result (after conducting Personality Test) and will remain available on the Website for a period of 60 days.

UPSC released final results of CDS examination (I) 2011

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2011 held in February 2011 and SSB interviews held by Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to (i) 132nd Course of Indian Military Academy-Dehradun (ii) Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and (iii) 191st Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course. There are some common candidates in the three lists for various courses.


The number of vacancies as indicated by the Government is 250 for Indian Military Academy (including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders), 40 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala (2 for Hydro/38 for Executive General Service) (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing) holders) and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-flying) Training Course.

The result of Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. Verification of date of birth and educational qualifications of these candidates is still under process by the Army Headquarters. The candidature of all these candidates are, therefore, provisional on this score.

Candidates are requested to forward their certificates, in original, in support of Date of Birth/Educational Qualification etc., certificates claimed by them, alongwith Photostat attested copies thereof to Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters, as per their choice. CPF (Assistant Commandants) Exam 2010 Personality Test results

UPSC has announced the result the Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination 2010. The written exam was held on 24th October, 2010 and the Personality Test held in August-September, 2011. Candidates have been recommended for appointment to BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and CISF.

A total no. 840 candidates, recommended for appointment, include 366 General, 255 OBC, 145 SC and 74 ST candidates.

Appointment to various Services will be made according to number of vacancies available and due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.

NDA & National Academy Exam (II)-2010 written exam results announced by UPSC

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Exam (II) 2010 on the basis of the results of written examination held by UPSC in August 2010 and the interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. The examination was held for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of National Defence Academy for the 126th Course and Naval Academy for the 88th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from June 30, 2011.

The list contains names of 742 candidates. There are some common candidates in the three lists for Army/Navy, Air Force and Naval Academy. The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government of India is 335 (195 for the Army, 039 for the Navy, 066 for the Air Force and 035 for the Naval Academy for the 88th (INAC).

The result of Medical Examination of candidates has not been taken into account in preparing the merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.

The result is available on PIB website i.e www.pib.nic.in and also on the UPSC website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in.
