Thomas J. Sargent, Christopher A. Sims Won the 2011 Sveriges Riksbank prize (Nobel Prize) for Economics in memory of Alfred Nobel. They were awarded, "for their empirical research on cause and effect in the macroeconomy";

The Prize in the Field of Economic Sciences was introduced in the memory of Alfred Nobel. The prize is named as Sveriges Riksbank prize. The Sveriges Riksbank is the central bank of Sweden, which instituted this award.
