  • Collective Radio Stations started in BiharThe Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched the Collective Radio Stations. While speaking at the inauguration ceremony of two such radio stations launched in Barh and Birauli towns in Patna and Samastipur districts, he urged farmers to make the maximum utilisation of the collective radio station concept. He stated that the radio was a vital medium for the dissemination of information among farmers.

Mr. Nitish lauded the efforts made by the State Agriculture Department in realising the concept. He said that the radio stations would enable farmers to keep alongside of the latest trends in the field of agriculture.

Mr. Nitish told that such radio stations would be started in all the 38 districts. He criticised the apathetic attitude of banks in disbursing agricultural credit, and asserted that corruption in the field would not be tolerated. “Irregularities and cases of corruption found during the distribution of Kisan Credit Cards will be severely dealt with. Banks must be more transparent in their disbursement processes,” he said.
