The India's biggest Scam that came into light in the recent past has now been placed at the 2nd position in the list of all-time "Top 10 abuses of the Power" of the Time Magazine’s “an ignominious club of privileged leaders who stepped too far.” With the first on the list being the ex-American President Richard Nixon’s ‘Plumbers’, a secret unit tasked with digging up dirt on Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg.
Mr. A. Raja, the former Telecom minister of India and the prime accuse in the 2G spectrum scam is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar jail. Mr. Raja has beaten some tough contenders to be ranked second and be ahead of Libyan strongman Muammar Qadhafi, North Korean leader Kim Jong-II and Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi.
Other persons included in the list include former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski, former president of Israel Moshe Katsav, Roger Vangheluwe, who stepped down as Bishop of Bruge, former head of China’s State Food and Drug Administration Zheng Xiaoyu and US Secretary of the Interior in 1922 Albert Fall.
