Madras-chennai flooded heavily by the influence of squally weather and depression at southwest bay

Depression in Bay of Bengal effects Chennai and Andhra Pradesh..
The low pressure area over Southwest Bay off Tamil Nadu coast has became well marked low pressure area over the same area.
It may concentrate in to a depression over the same area and is likely to move in a northwesterly direction close to coast.
Under its influence squally weather with wind speed reaching 50-60 KMPH likely along of Chennai, Cuddalore and Nagapattinam ports.
So far 166 people have died till now in rain-related incidents and 45 thousand people have been evacuated from along the coast. Chennai, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Trichy are affected.
The Metereological department expects the situation to persist for the next 24 hours. Fishermen are warned not to go for fishing in sea.
