29 players are surmised to be involved in spot-fixing in IPL 2 says a leading London newspaper
Yet another daze to the cricket, this time it is not at the international stage but in the Indian Premiere League. In IPL second edition hosted in South Africa almost 29 players are suspected to be involved in the spot-fixing scam including two Australians, claimed a leading London newspaper on September 12.
According to a secret dossier compiled by the ICC's anti-corruption and security unit, the list includes some high-profile names but nobody from England or Pakistan, whose players did not take part due to security issues, 'The Sunday Times' claimed. "Some betting patterns were very suspicious at IPL 2," the report said quoting a source.
